Winter brings snow and other blues for people and their cars. And a vehicle isn't always in shape to deal with the cold. Check your owner's manual to make sure you explore the right preparations for winter weather.

Probably the one thing that concerns people the most during the winter would be the battery's condition. Cold weather can kill a battery, so determining the charge makes sense. Also, if the battery is reaching the end of its lifespan, maybe buying a new one makes sense.

It also doesn't hurt to replace old coolant. Even if new, check coolant levels to make sure you have enough, or else severe problems could occur. Examine the oil and air filter as well. Long before frigid weather rolls in, you should get on top of these things.
